Does the client know what quality they want the photos to be digitized in?
Does the client know what image format they want the photos to be digitized in?
What kind of timeline would is the client expecting for the scan project?
Roughly how many photos are there to digitized?
Are all the photos the same or similar sizes?
How did they want me to store and deliver the scanned photos to them? Thumbdrive seems standard?
Does the client already have an arrangment and name convention in mind or do they want me to create one for them?

Would the client be willing to pay upfront for eqiupment cost? Or provide their own scanning eqiupment?
Would a per photo be a good pricing model? Seems standard.
Do you know the typical going rate for a photo digitization service? Not a big company. (I am willing to get paid less because of upfront eqiupment cost and less experience/learning on the go)
Small sample from LA areas shows pricing range somewhere between $0.50 to $0.70. Would charging $0.30 to $0.35 be too little? Too much?

Recommended scanner? Currently considering an Epson Perfection V600.
You previously recommeded Adobe Photoshop + Bridge, are you recommending I use Photoshop with a plug-in (TWAIN) in order for the items to be directly scanned into photoshop? Or would it better to use a seperate scanning software like SilverFast SE and reserve Photoshop for scan touchups?
Do you have any recommendations for scanning software?
Cloth vs Nitrile gloves?
Microfiber cloth, Lens brush, and/or compressed air; would this be necessary for cleaning off dust?

I was researching photo digitization standards and ended up looking at the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI). They published a very indepth digitization guidebook with four different levels of standards. Would this be a good goal/reference point for photo scanning quailty?
What are some resources you could point me toward regarding best practices for digitizing photos?
